"Suzanne, supervised Mr. R’s parenting time in 2016, and later Ms. N’s parenting time when Ms. N was the supervised parent.  There were no difficulties arising from her supervised visits of Mr. R.  However, once Ms. N was supervised, issues arose, resulting in much time spent in email communication to arrange the visits.  Suzanne withdrew her services because of the excessive number of texts and emails from Ms. N, and also because of what Suzanne viewed as a false allegation made by Ms. N that on one occasion, Suzanne had yelled at her.  Suzanne described Ms. N as prone to histrionics, and said that Ms. N had told her that people involved in this case were conspiring against her.  I accept Suzanne's evidence.  She presented as an extremely competent, professional, objective witness.  In addition, she was plain-spoken and direct in her testimony."

She was assigned to supervise the plaintiff’s access to V.L.B. over 50 or 55 times, each session lasting a day. In my view, this witness was sincere and fair, and it was evident that she took seriously her responsibilities, both to supervise the access and to honestly report her observations left me quite favourably impressed."

Supervised Access / Access Supervision / Supervised Visitation

Q: What industry standards, licensing, and training exist in the access supervision industry?

A: Shockingly, none. Axiom is the only agency subject to Government licensing (annual, several levels), & criminal records checks. Axiom has created and implemented policies within our industry, with the hopes these will become standardized. 

​

Q: What qualifications does someone need to be a supervisor?

A: None, because there are no licensing or standards in the regular industry. Many agencies use minimum wage supervisors (even though their hourly rates are higher than Axiom's). Axiom never uses minimum wage supervisors. Our supervisors are the most highly-trained and experienced in the industry.

 

Q: Do you testify at Trial and why do so many other agencies refuse to?

A: Axiom absolutely testifies at Trial. Without the writer being subject to cross-examination, the reports may not be allowed into evidence* (*we are not lawyers. We do not offer legal advice & nothing we say shall be interpreted as such. Please consult Counsel). If your supervisor refuses to testify, your reports may be worthless. Why do they refuse? Because they either don't want to, or they have previously been found to be not credible. Some have Supreme Court Justices ruling that they were not credible, unbiased, professional, truthful ...Your supervisor MUST have a solid reputation for being credible and unbiased.

Q: Can you recommend a really good family law litigator?

A: We sure can and are happy to do so for anyone who requests it (both parties). We have specialized in the most high-conflict. complex, and challenging cases since 2005, so we are very familiar with Counsel and their litigation styles and records. Axiom has no vested interest in offering names of Counsel and receives no benefit or consideration for doing so. We genuinely want to help families and this is yet another tool we are able to utilize to that end.

Q: Are your cases mostly related to cheating?

A: Surprisingly, no, Our first 6 years, we exclusively did Plaintiff Personal Injury cases. We do a lot of corporate and civil stuff, including specializing in all aspects of Family Law-related matters. There are so many ways a good PI can help. We do searches, background checks, romance scams, vetting, landlord services, process service...

Q: Is your job dangerous?

A: It definitely can be, at times. Unlike the vast majority of PI,s (who are male and do insurance surveillance, almost exclusively), we specialize in high-risk investigations and access supervision, including undercover / covert work.

​

Q: Has being a woman been a positive or a negative in your work?

A: While there remains much room for improvements within the industry; when it comes to gender, my being female has only benefitted my clients and cases, on myriad levels. Whether it's the child protection end of things, undercover, obtaining access and information where others have failed, or getting out of some pretty sketchy situations, it has only been a positive. Plus, the woman's intuition, gut-instinct, and sixth-sense stuff is real.

Q: Is your job like in the movies?

A: For the most part, definitely not. If we conducted surveillance the way Hollywood portrays it, we'd get burned (caught) every time.
